ROOT CANAL TREATMENT IS NECESSARY FOR:
- Periodontitis – inflammation of the tissues surrounding the tooth root. This condition causes a bone defect near the root, such as a cystic granuloma. The patient experiences sharp pain when biting down.
- Pulpitis – inflammation of the pulp. This condition most often occurs due to infection entering the root canal.
